And He will yet deliver us...” 2Corinthians 1:8-10 The tragic sentence of death by Adam’s sin, we humans were given at birth to begin our lives on this earth to exist within a hundred years or so for our life to live and use what we receive and what we can give. Our life faces many important choices to make, which one of two roads we encounter to take to the right hand or left, which way to go, but we have guides to help say yes or no. These are a Person and Book to help us know

Fruit of the Spirit

Fruit of the Spirit     by Danny C. Wash                                                      “.. .the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,  kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control... ”  Galatians 5:22-23 In a dream, I saw in my soul in the inner part of me, there had been planted in that place by God a small tree which had shiny green leaves that were beautiful to see. This tree with luxurious leaves had been placed in my heart  with roots that intertwine with the Holy Spirit in that inner part. The leaves received bright and enriching light from God’s Son Who sits in Heaven at the right hand of God, the Holy One. As the Holy Spirit reigns on and over the leaves of the tree  the roots are watered and then fed by God’s word in me which provides the nourishment needed by the Spirit to grow  on this tree fruits of the Spirit in their season, the fruits we know as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control

Forgiveness

Forgiveness  by Danny C. Wash “ Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord,  though your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow;  though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. ”  Isaiah 1:18 Forgive yourself from past mistakes for Heaven’s sake. God has done that in His mercy if you will only take His grace and by confession of your sin to Him you make. Then, He is faithful and just to cleanse you from all sin. How can that be you say, my sin is too great for me to win such a thing as forgiveness and freedom from all this din of accusing thoughts of my past deeds and many sins. You are right to wonder at this great love He did enact But it was not you at all that earned this great fact It was God in Jesus, who came to take this great act as a shepherd would search for His sheep that are lost. He was the One who laid down His life on the cross to keep you from great punishment and eternal loss as the just reward for your sins and awful dross. Who can stand

The Peace of God

The Peace of God                                                                              by Danny C. Wash   As a sparrow flitting and fluttering  about  come to mind these many accusing thoughts  as to what we have done or not done they shout and point to alleged fault arguing whether we ought. Our conscience quickly arises and seeks out the matter to judge aright or if it comes to naught. Sometimes, the conscience speaks with no doubt but then if unclear more information is sought. How can we decide what to do in this battle fought. If we will but seek the word of God it can do its part.  As the Bible informs, “let the peace of God rule in your heart.” Oh, the wonderful gift that the peace of God will impart. (“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye  are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” Colossians 3:15)

The squirrel, in its infinite lucky wisdom, placed the acorn in the perfect spot, well drained and where the rain and sunlight could shower the oak’s branches and not be crowded out by other trees. It grew and grew year after year after year strengthened by the wind, sun, and rain.  Beneath it’s limbs and green leaves families experienced picnics, games, naps, love, tears, laughs and

The Throne of Grace

The Throne of Grace         by Danny C. Wash             “ Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need .” Hebrews 4: 14-16 I had a dream of Heaven where Jesus Christ sat on His throne of grace. I was a young boy observing the people coming in their spirits through prayer into the presence of their high priest, Jesus, seeking His mercy and grace to help them in their time of need.  Some would come begging and crawling on their hands and knees groaning about their sin and unworthiness asking for help from Jesus. However, before the people could enter the throne room, an angel stood

The Lamb of God-The Old, Old Story

Image
The Lamb of God-The Old, Old Story    by Danny C. Wash Adam opened his eyes while coughing and sputtering to life. His first sight was God, the Father, in a human-like form leaning over him, after having breathed the breath of human life into him. Adam immediately knew who God was, as his Creator, because God had imprinted knowledge in his brain of many things he would need to know since he was created fully grown and mature. Adam, as the first human was the prototype, with extreme brain power and physical attributes. Adam was created with three parts that were essentially separate but intermingled. These parts were his physical body; his soul consisting of his conscious mind, will, and emotions; and his spirit, which was that part of him that contained his conscience, his intuition, and his sub-conscious mind. God had already created the universe, and re-created the old formless void world to contain all its new contents, and animal life.  God wanted Adam to now participate
