The Peace of God
The Peace of God
by Danny C. Wash
As a sparrow flitting and fluttering about
come to mind these many accusing thoughts
as to what we have done or not done they shout
and point to alleged fault arguing whether we ought.
Our conscience quickly arises and seeks out
the matter to judge aright or if it comes to naught.
Sometimes, the conscience speaks with no doubt
but then if unclear more information is sought.
the matter to judge aright or if it comes to naught.
Sometimes, the conscience speaks with no doubt
but then if unclear more information is sought.
How can we decide what to do in this battle fought.
If we will but seek the word of God it can do its part.
As the Bible informs, “let the peace of God rule in your heart.”
Oh, the wonderful gift that the peace of God will impart.
(“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye
are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” Colossians 3:15)
